Grandpa's Chordsmen Performances

Grandpa has a performance this Sunday - we know how much he loves to have his family there! It would be great if everyone could make it!

This year the Boise Valley Chordsmen celebrate Fifty Years of Harmony! On September 14, 1957, the Boise Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society held it's first Quartet Parade. And since, the Boise Valley Chordsmen have been entertaining audiences with the unique sound of Barbershop Harmony.

This year we also celebrate the 50th year of "The Music Man," with several songs from Meredith Wilson's joyful musical. Our special guest quartet this year is "Late Show" from Stockton, California and Reno, Nevada. They are the 2006 Far Western District Champions and we are very excited to have them perform for you. Come out and hear your favorite old songs sung in close, four-part harmony. The Chordsmen, under the direction of Timberline choir director, Rich Lapp, will reacquaint you with classic songs from the turn of the century to the big band era.

September 21st - Timberline High School (701 East Boise Avenue, Boise) and

September 22nd - Vallivue High School (1407 Homedale Rd, Caldwell)

Both performances begin at 7:30 PM Tickets cost $10 for adults $5 for students $25 for a family pack of five and are available by - calling 376-3693 - from members of the Chordsmen - at the door
